RANT- Why Canadian Internet Sucks!

Now before you read this realise that this is a rant. I'm writing this as I sit waiting for Facebook to load. Now you're thinking: "wait what? Facebook and, loading?" That's right folks Facebook will probably not be loaded enough to read a single status by the time I'm finished the paragraph. Yep, I was right.

There are two kind of Internet where I am. Cable(Rogers) and phone lines(Bell). I wish I could add fiber-optics to the list but that's not going to happen. I have Internet that is running on the phone lines. Now apparently in my area that's actually a problem. According to Bell "The lines in my area are heavily degraded" So, I am paying for decent internet of maybe 250kbs download speeds . That's all I ask. But instead, about 10kbs on a good day is what I'm dealing with.

Of course it gets worse. You see, one of the really great things about my service provider Primus(piggy-backs on bell's lines) is that they have no download cap. Or at least they did. I have now dropped dramatically from as much steam downloads as I want to maybe one. I can't download to much with 65GB. I'm not sure what people in the States are dealing with but I can guess it's better then that.

So here I am with download speeds of 10kbs and a 65GB cap which is now the average across all providers now. Nobody is offering unlimited anymore. I am genuinely pissed off at how bad this is. We don't live in the late 90s, but it sure seems like it. Well would you look at that, my Facebook is finally loaded.
