Mini Iphone

It looks like there's good chances of a mini iphone. It is reportedly about half the size. It would also be an edge to edge touchscreen with some kind of voice navigation.

It would be interesting to see how this pans out. That's a lot of screen real estate  to give up. Although the edge to edge will help. It's also half the price which makes it very appealing.

Will Android apps run on the Playbook?

There's a rumor going around that RIM's Blackberry PlayBook will be able to run Android software and apps. Now I think that RIM should be doing everything it can to work this out. Because it would really open up the market if people knew that they could download apps from the extensive market.

Everybody who's ever used a blackberry knows how bad the blackberry apps store is, so it would really help them if they didn't have to build it up for the PlayBook.

Do you think this will work out? If so, do you think that people will want to buy it after they know they can get Android apps?

Please email us rumors!

So if I really want to devote this blog to rumors(which I do) Then i have to search all over the internet to find them(Which I do). But it's still hard to find a lot. Samsung Galaxy tab 2

Finally it has been confirmed. The Galaxy tab 2 will in fact have a 10.1 inch screen. Also it looks like the tegra 2 proc is now out as a Samsung proc makes it's way in. Default Honeycomb UI also seems to be a possibility. So no Samsung screwing around.

Samsung also seems to be working on an autostereoscopic phone, Similar to LG's. The second Samsung Galaxy is also getting ready. A photo seems to imply a new Android O.S (mobile version of Honeycomb). It's also supposed to be ultra thin.

Samsung has new Android tablet (Galaxy Tab 2?)

So in an earlier post I said that Samsung had a tablet in the works that could possibly be the Galaxy Tab 2. Well the former specs were correct and it will be sporting a 10 inch screen. So will this be the second Tab? Or a separate tablet? We will have to wait until next week I suppose.

I really think this is too bad as I love the 7inch form factor. It's much bigger then a phone so it's comfortable to watch movies on yet it's so portable. I can even fit it in my coat pocket which is virtually impossible with the ipad. Although I'd be surprised if there weren't some exceptions.

Why am I so addicted to Minecraft?

If you haven't heard of this game you've either been living under a rock for the past year or your over 25. Either way, it's addictive.

See, people call it a game but I don't even know if it is. I mean a definition of a game would be something with an objective, which this game does not have. Sure you have to mine and things to get better but what for? It's obvious that me among thousands of other people are addicted to the most pointless thing on earth. Like, literally there really is no point to it.

Truly I'm not even sure I find it fun anymore. In fact, I'm sure I don't. When I sit down to play that game I don't think I even enjoy it. I just can't stop. But why?

There does not seem to be any reason for why this seems so attractive to me. Had you told me about the game before I tried it I probably would have thought that it wouldn't even be worth trying. Yet here I am blogging about why I'm addicted. But I still don't have an answer.

So here you go. I'm going to start your weekend off with an unanswerable question. Why so addicted?

RANT- Why Canadian Internet Sucks!

Now before you read this realise that this is a rant. I'm writing this as I sit waiting for Facebook to load. Now you're thinking: "wait what? Facebook and, loading?" That's right folks Facebook will probably not be loaded enough to read a single status by the time I'm finished the paragraph. Yep, I was right.

There are two kind of Internet where I am. Cable(Rogers) and phone lines(Bell). I wish I could add fiber-optics to the list but that's not going to happen. I have Internet that is running on the phone lines. Now apparently in my area that's actually a problem. According to Bell "The lines in my area are heavily degraded" So, I am paying for decent internet of maybe 250kbs download speeds . That's all I ask. But instead, about 10kbs on a good day is what I'm dealing with.

Of course it gets worse. You see, one of the really great things about my service provider Primus(piggy-backs on bell's lines) is that they have no download cap. Or at least they did. I have now dropped dramatically from as much steam downloads as I want to maybe one. I can't download to much with 65GB. I'm not sure what people in the States are dealing with but I can guess it's better then that.

So here I am with download speeds of 10kbs and a 65GB cap which is now the average across all providers now. Nobody is offering unlimited anymore. I am genuinely pissed off at how bad this is. We don't live in the late 90s, but it sure seems like it. Well would you look at that, my Facebook is finally loaded.

More Battlefield 3 News!

As i said on an earlier post, there has been more news on the next battlefield game. Which just seems to get better and better with each morcel of info.

So spotting from Bad company 2 will make it's way into the 3rd as well as the much missed prone feature. New York will be in the game which sounds so totally awesome! to me, among other fun filled locations.

Bad company bullet physics will also return except with more...detail for lack of better words.

No gameplay yet, but hopefully our Battlefield filled prayers will be answered in the coming weeks. Or the least they could do is give us more news.

LG wants to kick PS3s out of the U.S?!

LG is trying to end the import of PS3s to the United States. They are claiming that Sony has infringed on 4 of their patents. Also, Bravia T.Vs are infringing 4 other patents.

However in December, Sony had a complaint about some of LGs phones. So it's a two way battle anyways.

Also no picture for this story as i'm writing this from my Galaxy Tab and I can't put one in!

100 Page views!

This blog has officially hit 100 page views! Now as unimpressive as that may sound, I really hope that this blog can grow into something more. Maybe more people will feel as passionate as I do about technology and maybe even like my style of writing. All I know is I can't do it without you guys!

Philips has new T.V remote concept. Inspired by the Wii?

Philips seems to have an idea on how to revolutionize the aging remote concept. It looks and functions like a Wii-mote (or what ever the hell you call those damned things) and seems almost buttonless.

But wait, it seems buttonless from the front but it will apparently have a full QWERTY keyboard on it's backside. It would function just as you imagine it would. Acting as a mouse and recognizing pulling and pushing motions for different actions. It would use both an accelerometer and an infrared sensor under your T.V.

Would you like to have this in your house? Or do you think the classic style has hung around all these years for a reason?

BlackBerry Curve Touch?

Blackberry. With Android and Apple in the smartphone mix they've been finding it hard to keep up. I suppose they figure if they follow a trend then people will buy their phone. That's what it seems like anyways.

The curve touch probably will not sport it's usual physical keyboard and only be touch. Other specs may include an 800mghz proc, 512mb of ram an five megapixel camera that could film your friends doing stupid things in 720p. A 3.25inch display and 1gb of internal storage which will be upgradable with a micro sd card slot. It could be released at the end of this year or beginning of next.

What do you think about a blackberry without a physical keyboard? Do you think this will make or break Blackberry? Leave your comments below!

Galaxy Tab 2

So the second galaxy tab is supposed to be released this month. Samsung said that a 10 inch tablet is in the works. So the question is is the Galaxy tab 2 going to be another 7 inch tablet with another 10 inch tablet in the works? Or does that 2 not really mean anything as everything would be completely different.

The galaxy tab 2 will be running Honeycomb (Android 3.0) and a Nvidia Tegra 2 proc. That may come as a surprise because Samsung was reported to be working on their own dual core chip. Do you think tablet will come with a 10 inch screen? If so, does that spell the end for the 7inch tablet?

Motorola Xoom Tablet

So awhile back there was a story on the price of the Xoom tablet. It was priced at 800 which I thought was way way to high. But then it was updated to 700 which I thought was much more reasonable. Well guess what, It's now priced at 800 again.

Now although I think this is simply priced to high for any tablet, the specs are quite nice which I think will keep it alive. So do you think the price is too high?

Battlefield 3 NEWS!!

So the long awaited battlefield 3 now has a few bits of info that we can drool over and a new teaser trailer that will keep us dreaming for hours. (Well me anyways) Battlefield 3 will feature 64 player battles, fighter jets and a new engine.

With the destruction capabilities of the bad company series mixed with the huge battles and more vehicles, this game has been set up for instant success. This will probably be one of the only games I would pre-order as I loved BF2 and BF3 looks even better. Doesn't look like we will have to wait too much longer as the release date is set at this fall. Better then two years from now anyways.

Hopefully we will hear more news in the weeks ahead. What would you like to see in battlefield 3?
